My client, a leading and fast‑growing multi-billion-dollar investment management firm is seeking a high‑calibre Operations Analyst to join its cross‑functional operations and analytics team. This is a front‑to‑middle office aligned role with direct involvement in the firm's programming, trading, risk, and portfolio management activities.

Key Responsibilities

Front & Middle Office Support

• Act as a bridge between the investment, trading, and operations teams to ensure accurate trade capture and lifecycle management across asset classes.
• Support portfolio managers with real‑time data analysis, position monitoring, and liquidity reporting.
• Enhance order management and trade flow processes through automation and analytical tools.
• Liaise with prime brokers, custodians, and middle‑office teams to resolve trade‑related and risk exposure issues.

Analytical Reporting & Automation

• Build and maintain automated reporting tools and dashboards using Python, VBA, and advanced analytics.
• Develop scripts to streamline trade, exposure, and performance data flows across internal systems.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in collaboration with technology and data teams.
• Provide analytical insights to support trading strategies, P&L explain, and capital allocation decisions.

Operational Oversight

• Oversee high‑value operational controls related to trading, margin, and cash management.
• Support daily portfolio exposure and financing analysis in close partnership with the front office.
• Ensure processes and reports adhere to internal risk, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Participate in new product launches and system enhancement projects, assisting with operational readiness and testing.

Cross‑Team Collaboration & Rotation

• Work closely with traders, risk managers, and investment professionals on projects that blend operational insight with front‑office exposure.
• Participate in the firm's internal rotation program, with potential to transition into front‑office, product, or risk‑focused roles over time.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in operations, trade support, or analytical roles within asset management, hedge funds, or investment banking.
• Proficiency in Python and VBA for automation, data processing, and reporting
• High degree of technical curiosity, logical problem‑solving ability, and interest in how operations link with investment decisions.
