Description

1. Own and drive asset management strategy, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment oversight.
2. Monitor portfolio performance against benchmarks and internal mandates.
3. Ensure investment processes are disciplined, well-documented, and aligned with the organization's investment philosophy.
4. Oversee risk governance across the investment lifecycle (market, credit, liquidity, and concentration risk as applicable).
5. Ensure compliance with internal policies and all relevant regulatory requirements.
6. Coordinate with risk/compliance teams to implement controls, reporting, and escalation procedures.
7. Lead client relationship management for key institutional / high-net-worth clients (if applicable).
8. Identify business opportunities to grow AUM (assets under management) through new mandates, cross-selling, and partnerships.
9. Support proposals, investment presentations, and ongoing client reporting.
10. Lead, coach, and manage the asset management team (investment analysts, portfolio managers, operations staff as applicable).
11. Set performance expectations, hiring plans, and training programs to build a high-performing team.
12. Ensure timely and accurate investment operations, pricing, valuation, and performance reporting.
13. Oversee reporting to management, clients, and internal committees.
14. Improve workflows and systems to enhance efficiency and data quality.
15. Work closely with Research, Sales, Product, Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams.
16. Coordinate with external partners (custodians, fund administrators, brokers, etc.) when relevant.

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (Master's preferred).
2. Extensive experience in asset management / investment management (typically 8-15+ years ), including leadership experience.
3. Strong understanding of investment markets, portfolio management, and risk frameworks.
4. Demonstrated ability to drive performance, manage stakeholders, and build teams.
5. Relevant industry certifications and/or regulatory qualifications (e.g., licensing if applicable in the jurisdiction).
