- Shared Financial Services Coordinator, Part-Time

Primary Function
The Shared Financial Services Coordinator provides fulfillment of the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits’ outsourced accounting services. The Shared Financial Services Program provides fee-for-service financial management services to Oklahoma nonprofits on a contract basis. The Shared Financial Services Coordinator must be a well-organized self-starter with excellent time management skills. Additionally, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills, be customer focused, responsive and flexible, and be able to work independently and as a team to ensure that the financial management services delivered represent the Center’s commitment to nonprofit excellence.
Requirements
Essential Functions (3-5 essential functions of the positions)
PROVIDE SUPERIOR FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SERVICE TO OUR SHARED FINANCIAL SERVICES CLIENTS
- Ensure that segregation of duties is maintained
- Daily AP and AR support to client
- Assist with payroll processing
- Reconcile monthly bank statements and account schedules
- Assist with month-end close process, including journal entries
- Prepare financial reports from accounting software, as needed
- May be responsible for banking processes, including deposits
- May attend client governance and committee meetings
PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT TO OUR GROWING SHARED FINANCIAL SERVICES PROGRAM
- Develop operating procedures and job aids for Shared Financial Services Program
- Develop and maintain reports and other metrics for program evaluation and improvement
- Work as a member of a team dedicated to excellent client service and continuous improvement
Administration and Other Duties
- Generate reports for staff and the board of directors as requested.
- Maintain professionalism, organizational standards and confidentiality as a representative of OKCNP to all donors, members, and other key stakeholders.
- Recruit and retain volunteers, donors, interns, and other partners as necessary.
- Represent OKCNP’s values in working with clients and colleagues.
Other Functions
- Other duties may be assigned by Director of Shared Financial Services
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time, life more than five pounds, and communicate on telephone and in person, work on a computer, and be able to speak in public.
- Ability to travel throughout the state and outside of Oklahoma as needed.
- Engage in professional development activities such as training, conferences, research and coaching.
- Participate in OKCNP’s special events, including ONE and Visions, and board meetings as requested.
- Provide general administrative functions such as expense reporting, budget oversight, consultation with other team members, and attendance at scheduled meetings.
- Maintain the strictest of confidentiality at all times.
Education and Expertise
- AA or BS in Accounting or related field. In lieu of a degree, job experience will be accepted with the approval of the President and CEO.
- Experienced in MS Excel, MS Word, and some form of accounting software; minimum intermediate level.
- Intermediate level experience in QuickBooks; preferred.
- Nonprofit accounting experience a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
Experience
Possess a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in bookkeeping/accounting experience (accounting write-up services: AP, AR, payroll, and account and bank reconciliations.

- Shared Financial Services Accountant
- Volunteers and Interns (paid and unpaid)
